The "MomTest"

Ok I stole this from one of my friends blogs (thanks Alisha) and I wanted to share it with all of my blogging friends.

"I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked up something off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away from her and I asked her not to do that. 'Why?' my
daughter asked. 'Because it's been on the ground, you don't know
where it's been, it's dirty, and probably has germs' I replied. At this point, my daughter looked at me with total
admiration and asked, 'Momma, how do you know all this stuff, you are so smart.' I was thinking quickly. 'All moms know this stuff. It's on the Mom Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mom.' We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information. 'OH...I get it!' she beamed, 'So if you don't pass the test you have to be the dad'. ''Exactly' I replied back with a big smile on my face."

Farmer Joe had a birthday!

Ok, so he's not a farmer but he loves to wear his bibs and so I call him "farmer Joe." BUT, he did have a birthday and he turned a big 55. Yes that's right - 55! And in case you are wondering - the answer is YES - he can now get in to the movie theater with the Senior Citizens discount. WOO HOO! That will save us some major money over the years. Ok so that's the only place. Everywhere else requires you to be 65. But hey we aren't going to argue with the movie theater if they think he is "old" we are going to agree whole heartedly. In fact we thought that maybe we will get him a walker or a cane and he can really look the part. But hey they get their buck back from us because now we can graduate up to a BIG popcorn and a BIG diet pepsi with the money saved. Oh the joys of getting older!

No time to Blog!

My life is kinda crazy right now and I haven't had time to do any blogging. I am a junior at BYU-Idaho and I am carrying 15 credits this semester. One of my classes requires some heavy duty research and so I spend ALL of my extra time doing that. It is intense. Plus I have a stack of books that I have to read for other classes as well. I love to read but I am SLOW. So in a nut shell - I have no life right now except keeping my nose stuck in a book!

And to top it off, I'm trying to plan a reception for Scott and Amy's wedding in March. SO needless to say - my blog is being put on the back burner for awhile. But keep checking back and I'll try to blog once in awhile. I do take time to stalk the rest of you and your blogs though so I can keep up on your comings and goings. And I may even leave a comment or two.

Scott got engaged on Dec 20 to Amy Joy Kiser. They will be getting married on March 14 in the Rexburg, Idaho temple. We are so excited for them and want to welcome Amy into our family.
